Honoring the legacy of our founder
InfoSight’s founder, Dr. John A. Robertson, was the epitome of an innovator, constantly searching for and creating unique ways to make the world a better place. He held 56 patents, was president of the Electrostatic Society of America, named to the AIDC100 Hall of Fame, and recognized as Entrepreneur of the Year twice. His creativity knew no bounds. Today, we proudly honor John’s memory by continuing his legacy of innovation.
01
1990-2000
InfoSight Corporation formed in 1993 and quickly became an industry leader in identification solutions for harsh environments with the introduction of our temperature-resistant metal tags. Continued innovation led to the creation of tags that withstand the pickling and annealing processes, automatic slab, billet, and coil taggers, and the revolutionary KE2800 printer.
02
2001-2010
InfoSight entered the new millennium with a NASA study that tested how our metals handled the harshest of environments — outer space. Additionally, our patented barcoding technology found use in medical laboratories, we introduced the first LabeLase® industrial-grade laser marker, and we created tags specifically made for galvanizers.
03
2011-2020
As InfoSight continued to advance the LabeLase® printer series and began to introduce robotic automation to our marking systems, we also innovated our company’s structure. In 2018, we became 100% employee owned.
04
2021-Present
The more we move forward, the more we innovate. In 2023, the KettleTag®PLUS EZ™ revolutionized the identification process for galvanizers. Additionally, 2023 brought several transitions in InfoSight’s leadership team that will allow us to better serve customers with novel identification solutions.
InfoSight’s Future
Continuing our legacy of innovation
John Robertson entrusted InfoSight’s employees to continue his legacy of innovation, customer satisfaction, and integrity. These principles serve as the foundation for our company. Over the last 30 years, InfoSight has developed and produced identification solutions for the extreme environments found in the global steel and fabrication industry. We will continue to focus on these core markets.
Additionally, we will continue to innovate by embracing and creating new technology. We look forward to developing robust solutions that leverage: OCR and vision systems, advanced robotics, software, AI, machine learning, and novel materials.
We will search for strategic partnerships and acquisitions to remain highly competitive in our current niche and deepen our product offerings. We aim to expand into new markets, grow our current solutions, and create value for our employee shareholders.
We do this to achieve our vision: To provide the world peace of mind through innovative tracking solutions.
