Vector Ellipse Tool

Vector fields are applicable only to certain InfoSight laser printer models. Vectors are burned after all marking is completed and are used to burn through certain types of materials such as flexible polyacrylic labels.

The Vector Ellipse tool is used to add a vector ellipse field to the layout. A layout may have an unlimited number of vector ellipse fields. Once the field is added to the layout, you use the Properties Editor to change the field's properties.

Each vector ellipse field is defined by several pieces of information that you must supply. This information includes:

Height The height defines the vertical dimension of the rectangular region that encloses the rectangle, in inches or millimeters.

Width The width defines the horizontal dimension of the enclosing rectangle. If the width equals the height, a perfect circle is drawn.

Start Angle Identifies the starting angle, in degrees, of the ellipse. Angles are referenced to the Cartesian coordinate system with zero degrees at "3 o'clock.

Ending Angle The ending angle of the ellipse. If the ending angle equals the starting angle, the resulting ellipse is complete. If the angles are different, a segment of the ellipse is drawn.

Tabbed Set to true to add tabs to the ellipse. The size of the tabs is defined below in "Tab Size".

Tab Size The size of the tabs in inches or millimeters.

X The X coordinate of the lower left corner of the rectangular region that defines the ellipse. This field was initially filled in for you based on where you clicked the mouse.

Y The Y coordinate of the lower left corner of the rectangular region. This field was initially filled in for you based on where you clicked the mouse.
