Line Tool

The Line tool is used to add a line field to the layout. A layout may have an unlimited number of line fields. Once the field is added to the layout, you use the Properties Editor to change the field's properties.

Each line field is defined by several pieces of information that you must supply. This information includes:

Height The height of the line defines the vertical thickness in inches or millimeters.

Width The width of the line defines the horizontal dimension.

Reverse You may reverse (true) any other field enclosed by the line, turning black into white, white into black. Note that only fields that are drawn before the line are reversed. You can change the order that fields are drawn by dragging the fields in the Layout Field List.

Hidden You may hide (true) or display (false) the line. Hidden lines appear in the designer, but are not printed.

X The X coordinate of the lower left corner of the line. This field was initially filled in for you based on where you clicked the mouse.

Y The Y coordinate of the lower left corner of the line. This field was initially filled in for you based on where you clicked the mouse.
