Electronics Engineer
The Research & Development Electronics Engineer will be responsible for designing custom circuit boards for internally developed marking solutions that serve customers with unique asset identification needs in challenging environments. Applications can span from automated laser markers to industrial stencil and dot-peen stamp equipment. A deep understanding of electro-mechanical systems is critical to the success of this role. This position is an individual contributor and will report directly to the Vice President of R&D.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom circuit boards to control automated industrial and medical products.
- Develop lab scale tests for product qualification, troubleshooting, and quality control.
- Lead new product development projects from inception through to commercialization.
- Provide technical support to both internal and third-party manufacturing, including new product scale up or existing product improvement and quality.
- Maintain our existing product portfolio by managing electrical schematics and specifying and qualifying replacements for obsolete components.
- Monitor industry trends to keep ahead of competition and disruptive technologies.
- Expand the company’s IP portfolio through patents and trade secrets, to create long-term competitive advantages.

Key Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with a solid understanding of analog and digital circuits.
- Minimum 5 years of research and development experience for an industrial company.
- Deep understanding of multi-layer PCB design, including: schematics, layout, prototyping, and lab testing as well as embedded controller design using highly integrated microcontrollers (ARM Cortex preferred).
- Highly versed In C/C++ as well as the ability to operate lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.
- Strong problem-solving and execution skills for developing creative solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
- Self-starting data driven problem solver with a proven track record of delivering project outcomes.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
